Things that pop into my mind as I experince this thing called life

I haven't forgotten about you all...

I've just been really busy over the last week or so.

Marcus is doing really well, and on the days he doesn't go to day-care he has so much energy that he's been running Kerry into the ground. She's been putting so much into it all that she's nearly completely tapped out and it's getting really hard to cope.

I've been working from home the past couple of days to try and provide extra support for her so she can rest a bit more, and her wonderful mother has flown up today for a week to help out, so I'll be going back to work tomorrow (maybe Friday).

Work is just insane. We've got deadlines that are totally unreasonable, I've got more projects that I need to get done than I have time for. I think I'm developing a stress ulcer. Hopefully it should quieten down in the coming weeks.

We have a new nickname for Marcus. Kerry needed something to try and help her organise her life a bit better so I asked around if anybody had a old 2nd hard PDA (Personal Data Assistant). I got one last week and she's been using it ever since. It doesn't have all the whizzy bits but it seems to to what she needs for now.

As many of you may know, we often call Marcus our little monkey, because he's always getting into things, playing, eating things etc... He also loves playing with electronic items. If it's got a button on it, he loves pushing it. He can turn switches on/off, operate torches, knows which button on the TV remote turns it on/off. He loves lights, buttons and things that go beep.

Guess what. Kerry's new PDA does all of that. First time he saw it he made a bee-line for it. Dropped whatever he was playing with at the time and just had to play with it. We tell him no, but it then becomes a little bit of a game. He's pretty good at obeying, but he likes to test the limits. He'll keep trying, we'll keep saying No, and he carries on, with a huge grin on his face, basically saying that he's not really being bad, but he's just playing.

Anyway, his new nickname. Mothkey. Moth because he's attracted to new shiny things like a moth to a light, and key from monkey.

Right. I'm off to bed, but before I go, a current photo of Marcus for those who haven't seen him recently. He was all bundled up to go for a "walk" around the block in his stroller last night.
