The North Shore Embroiderer's Guild is currently doing a group project. The Guild logo has been cut up into little pieces and members have been asked to stitch a piece each matching the size and colours of the template, but using whatever method they choose. I've never taken on anything like this before, so it look quite a lot of thought before I had figured out what I was going to to. I was just about to start and I changed my mind again, but I am very happy with how it has turned out. Each colour is in a different stitch: pink is diamond crosses, blue is checkerboard stitch, green is smyrna crosses (with the vertical thread left out because it was looking too heavy), white is long armed cross stitch. I'll now hand mine over and look forward to seeing the whole thing put together.
