I loved the photo of Spike, in game face, on the newspaper vending box as soon as I saw it. I charted it up using Pattern Maker, mostly for my own amusement. Then I heard that James Marsters, who plays Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer was coming to New Zealand. So I started stitching! I got it finished at 4.30pm on a Wednesday afternoon and the con was on the Saturday. I don't want to cut it that fine again. James cheerfully signed it for me and was suitably impressed.
