I originally asked contributors to send me a Paul photo, a 1/4 yard of patchwork fabric and - if they could manage it - some money to cover costs. Not everyone sent all three, but over all I got more than enough to make a quilt.
First to arrive was a large box from Correze. It turned up at work on a day I wasn't there and everyone I work with was eagerly awaiting my return so they could see what was inside. I opened the box to find forty difference fabrics and a note from Correze that said "I went WAY overboard". Did she ever! Patchworkers drool over fabric in much the same way members of this list drool over Paul, so I almost didn't have to prewash the fabric.
